About this service
Aadhaar is a 12-digit unique identity number issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). Services include fresh enrolment, demographic updates (name, address, date of birth, mobile number) and biometric updates at Aadhaar Seva Kendras.
Who can apply
Any resident of India can enrol for Aadhaar. Children under 5 get a Baal Aadhaar linked to a parent. Demographic or biometric updates need the existing Aadhaar number.
How to apply
Book an appointment on the myAadhaar portal or visit an Aadhaar Seva Kendra with proof of identity and address. Biometric updates must be done in person at an enrolment centre.
